I dont think the AF will cause any more serious problems than plain water and may even support mold less.
The important thing is that you get it dried up FAST.
I had a filter housing come apart several years ago. The screw-on lid distorted and looked like it was cross threaded although it wasn't. It had been in use for months and was in a place where I constantly saw it.
Never could figure out why it failed but I replaced it and never had the problem again.
