Roof/fiberglass front cap

personally don't like anything Forest River has Traded a salem TT for my keystone product FW best move ever!!!

I had a Flagstaff, sister to the Rockwood I think. It was only on its first or second trip when the cap started to come loose on the top. I duct taped it until I got home and when I looked into it, I found that they missed the cap with the screws and it was only holding with the pressure of the seal. I did the repair on my own and discovered that there were big gaps between the Styrofoam insulation as well.

My parents have the same fiver but a 2012. It has been nothing but a nightmare for the last 3 years and still has ongoing issues. It has spent more than 1 year combined in the shop and 1 trip back to the factory. I would run, fast.

A short list of issues;

-axles replaced due to being under rated
-tires replaced in 1st year, dry rotted and under rated
-returned to factory this spring to have entire roof replaced due to leaks and rot. Recall for skylight leak. Sharp edges from the sidewalls had also perforated the roof membrane where it overlaps.
-slide out track broken. Slide was uneven and rubbed the linoleum floor. Adjustment bolts are also less than 1" from tires.
-front cap replaced. It had buckled and bowed in. No support structure behind it.
-water heater replaced. Element failed
-AC unit leak
-radio has no signal. Still trying to figure out how to put a proper antenna on roof.
-several electrical issues.

There is more but I can't recall all of it. They have met several others on the road that have had similar issues.

Unfortunately no lemon laws here. Luckily they bought an extended warranty.
