Run AC from inverter in truck?
Just wondering if a 160 amp alternator can handle running an AC unit through an inverter? Also would a modified sine wave run it or would it need to be pure sine wave? I'm not sure if the AC is a ...

The engine would need to running at higher RPM to the rated speed to output 160 amps. You would need to connect something near 2/0 cable for the positive and negative of the 12 volts between the alternator and the inverter.
