rust on worm gears track on slide outs
I have 2009 fifth wheel and have noticed that i have alot of rust on teeth of gear and drive gear under our slide outs. What can be done to help and prolong life of these components?

Sorry for the hijack, but how do you lube the inner legs?
Mine will not slide down on their own unless I extend the outers nearly all the way down!! I've always figured there had to be a way to lube this, but never found it.
Do you simply extend them and spray the outside of the inner leg?
