Well, JMHO..
I feel for this couple.
Was he high hitched? I don’t think so. The bar is clearly across the pin and you can’t see the bottom flange of the kingpin at all just as you would expect with a properly hitch slide bar jaw. The bar is in the place you would expect . The bar is not 1 inch thick which explains why it wouldn’t cover the entire gap between the bottom of the pin flange and the top of the pin. Maybe I’m losing my brain here. But if it was high hitched you should be able to see the bottom flange of the pin ABOVE the bar.

I wrote the word Shiny because I wanted to illustrate that the bar is right where it should be.

This is clearly something other than a high hitch.
why a slider? Why a junky used hitch? Why not find the owners manual online and read it first? Hopefully the lesson is learned here.
I suspect it has something to do with the old latching mechanisms.
I guess we will just wait for the next video.
