Do you understand that the dealer in question has access and has accounts with the manufacturer of the gear but refuses to order it because they can make more on the full assembly? TOTAL RIPOFF.
Do you know that or are guessing? Lippert will only sell a motor assy, no parts. Tried that once. And while $550 is high for the assy the cheapest I found was around $400.
Hopefully your replacement gear is the correct one.
