Our heater goes off. Then when we turn it off and then back on it will work and then go off

It sounds like you have a problem with your converter/charger. What does your battery meter say it is running at? Low 1/3 full?
If it reads low, check out the GFI's in your bathrooms and other locations for one that is tripped.
You can use a portable battery charger plugged into another place if you need to, to keep it running.
