Thor rep at the RV show I attended this weekend was asked about gas mileage on a Class C by the other couple in the motorhome and he said "8-10 and probably closer to 8 unless you go 55 - and it doesn't matter which brand. You just need to factor that in to the cost of ownership."
I say, Good on him for shooting straight. I had a local Ford salesman agree with me that the F-150 should be used at 75% of towing capacity and that it's foolish to think you can actually two 10-12k lbs. Not all salesman are liars.
