Caveat - "Plan C"
You didn't say where your RV is during the race, so -
*If* the race runs late, it's later Sunday afternoon/evening than you planned, had a couple of brewskis at the track, or don't want to drive then - for whatever reason.........
If you must move your RV Sunday after the race -
Another choice is to stay at a local campground, head north on Monday after a good night's rest.
That means depart at "normal" checkout time monday - say between 10AM and noon, as 5AM won't help to beat LA rush hour(s) traffic.
That would make traveling North during better traffic conditions.
Suggest dropping down to the 91 (Riverside) freeway.
Right off the 91 -at Gypsum Canyon Road- approx the Orange County line Canyon RV Park
Approx an hour or less from Fontana - and still handy to all freeways to continue Northbound on Monday.
Then Pismo, Morro Bay, etc. are within easy reach.
Good luck with your So.CA experiences - and wave at Danica(?)..;)
