It is not a requirement to use their financing, but you wont receive the financing discount. The discount is usually $2000, but at least once a year they have a "sale day" and have up to $6000 discount. It does come with a 12 month prepayment penalty, but luckily you would be refinancing less principle.
That's correct 131. Thanks for clarifying.
I sent an email to David Durnell who is one of the owners yesterday and today I heard from my sales rep and two financing managers. Unfortunately they did not agree to refund my deposit.
I've asked my credit card company to engage and help me settle the dispute.
I know that there are folks who had good luck with RVW but I now join the ranks of those who have not.
For us who are too far to personally check out the units, order blindly, and hope that nothing happens during the ~2500 mile delivery..my recommendation is to NOT order from RVW. Obviously having proper documentation of agreements did not help my case. If they cannot honor something that is explicitly stated in their contract, then I wonder what else they're not willing to help out with once the units are in the consumers possession.
Good luck to the OP. I'm back to square 1 but excited to continue the hunt for our home away from home.
