We live in the Houston, TX area and bought our current RV from a dealer in Knoxville, TN (DRV's #1 volume dealership). No local dealer could/would come close to their price.
Insofar as warranty work is concerned, if it should ever be needed (none required so far since taking delivery in May 2014), DRV routinely authorizes work at local independent service shops or even with mobile RV techs. Perhaps your manufacturer does likewise - for $20K, it would certainly be worth checking out.
Personally, I would prefer to deal with RV repair facilities/individuals who live and die by the quality of their work, their responsiveness and their reputation. This, unfortunately, doesn't include many of our local RV dealers....
