RV Wholesellers

We thinking of up grading to a new 5er. We live in N. Ca. and found a 5er that's just what were looking for. Were looking at the Montana High Country 305rl. Are local dealer is a small town dealer, and seems to be asking way to much for this trailer, and not real sure if he will budge much on the price. RV Wholesellers is offering the same 5er for almost $20,000 less. I was just wondering if anybody on this form has dealt with them? Thanks
  • I will buy local if they can get close on price otherwise I will buy where I can get the best deal. I don't buy the argument for service, I use an Independent service center or fix minor issues myself. Most of the time if you have trouble your on the road anyway. If A dealer is so short sided that he turns down service work I don't know if I would buy from them.

I will darned if I let the dealer hold me hostage over service. That is rewarding bad behavior.

    My opinion .
  • $20,000 less is a big difference. Look around on the internet and see what similar models are selling for. What is the MSRP on the trailer?
    Don
  • I purchased from a large dealer in Elkhart IN, arranged my shipping through U-Ship and saved a bundle. Prior to the purchase, Heartland had arrangements with an independent repair company to handle the warranty work.

Just remember about shipping the camper to you and service on the camper. It is known that dealers sometimes won't touch a camper they don't sell for warranty work.

That's exactly why they're asking $20,000 more. Hoping that someone will not have the guts to say no and bend over.
  • Always make sure your comparing apples to apples.High gloss gel coat, dual pane windows,Running gear ,tires, delivery charges of 3000 .00 or more,15k adds up real fast.

Yes, this is why you should pay the $20,000 extra.

Here in Utah it isn' uncommon for the dealers to list the trailers near MSRP but they really sell them 20%-30% less than MSRP. I would ask the local dealer for their best price just to make sure they really are that far off.
