Yes, Jayco did import 5th wheels and trailers into Australia to test the market and the main reason was because RV's made and sold in Australia cost 2+ times what they do here in the USA. Money to be made possibly! Importing the very big 5th wheels probably wasn't the smartest move as Australia's infrastructure isn't a match at all. All RR seems to ever show in outback travels with and RV is forging creeks or crossing shallow rivers with rocky bottoms, or going over a bad spot in rocky terrain.
We have that same type areas here in the USA and Canada and yes, they are driven pulling RV's but we don't try to tell everyone that's what our "outback" is always like. Most people with a brain won't take a full sized (32' to 40+') 5th wheel thru a creek, river, or do rock climbing with it. So many areas here in North America that RR's beloved Aussie RV's wouldn't begin to get thru nor would their Utes or trucks.
Total Gibberish as usual, 90% of what you type, makes no logical sense. No Jayco did not import US 5 vers. No idea, never been here but another self appointed expert.
You do not have the same type of areas, only 10% of US RV ers go off road
From the article quote
