I remember as a kid going up to Derby W.A from Perth , the roads were awful our friends drove an old Hudson but it was so low slung that the inside got flooded out during an overnight road flood in the outback. A guy in a road grader had to pull them out. Along the way all the water tanks on the road were empty cause someone had shot holes in them !
