Just for info I ordered set SAILUN 637 G load tires for friend and this size is almost identical in diameter size of the GOODYEAR 614. 30.7 inches so good option to consider

Been using these tires since Apr 2013, not the first problem. I was at a RV show in Florida and found that some new 5th wheels are coming from the manufacture with the Sailun S637 on. They are starting to see the light.

I just got off the phone with someone about these tires and he told me that these are from China (he said all ST's are from China or out of the country) and that yes, the Goodyear G614 are American. He said these were 10 ply compared to GY 14 ply. They both had a five year warranty on them. It's hard to resist the price of these compared to the Goodyears, I'll tell ya that. Not sure I can do it though.Anyone else have any info on the Sailuns?

Me.You can get them in 80 and 85 series - so try to match what you've got already. My guess is that they are taller than average spec due to tread depth.I replaced factory tires with 637s as soon as I bought the trailer. I can tell you that the weight difference was 35lb (factory tire) to 61 lbs (Sailun). Yes, they are from China.Yes, they have a very good reputation.They're imported by TBC Corp who owns a bunch of American tire stores, so they are backed by a real company here in the USA.I'd buy them again in a heartbeat.

I've installed both and the 637 tires are much more difficult to mount due to sidewalll stiffness

Are you saying they are harder to mount to the rim? Or to the trailer? I've been researching tires for weeks now and think I'm finally comfortable with the Sailuns. I would be ordering the Sailuns with the rims since I believe my trailer only has the 80 psi and would just sell the other tires/wheels together. Regardless, if the Sailuns don't work out, then I'll at least be set for any other tire at the 110 psi.Again, are you saying that they are harder to mount on the rim, or the trailer itself? My husband will be mounting them on the trailer and I would like to know how many swear words I'll be hearing if that's the case. Thanks

I've had the G614s for 5 years now and was about to replace them with the S637s. However, just sold camper yesterday and new one came with 614s. I have no problem using the 637s whatsoever. My partner at work has them on her camper(which I recommended) and are great tires. Here in GA we got them for $150.50 each from NTB. When the GYs are in need of replacing on my new one. I will buy the 637s.

Yes, Canadians get a raw deal a lot on shipping and items such as that, sorry for you all. But, wish we had your health plan!!! :)

Called the place where I got them, he called the place that is doing them. All is fine, they are ready to be picked up. I won't be able to get them till tomorrow or so though.

197 a tire here. Canadian eh!
Dropped rig off at 8 am and left truck hooked and was called at 10 to come and get it. Kal tire . $ 941.00 to take old junk off and balance/ install the sailuns. Metal stems and psi was 92.
Even with our dollar at 76 US I thought this was really good. No price for sanity and safety towing.

New development, and, it's a scary one for me.

My tire guy called to let me know that he was not able to balance two of the tire/wheels. He is unsure why exactly.

I have to call the company today to see if they'll send me two others. c r a p~on~a~cracker!

Not sure they'll do it, but, I have them charged and I "think" if need be, I can dispute this if they aren't going to work with me on it. I know, I'm crossing a bridge before getting to it, but, can you imagine my worry right now?

Well there's nothing wrong with that.

Sounds like you did your homework and I hope your tires are truly trouble free. I'm in the same boat with a new '16 camper and will be putting on some better quality tires in the very near future.

I have been running Sailun 637 for 3 years now they are a solid quality tire.
Sailun's have been around for quite awhile now and I have yet to read a post from someone that actually owns them that is dissatisfied or had any issues at all.
I am a totally satisfied with them. Every bit as good as the Goodyear. But almost 1/2 the price.
Sailun's are truly game changers
