His GVW can be 14,100, but some forget that some of that weight is being carried by the tow vehicle (ie, approx. 20%).
I had an 04'Coachmen Somerset with 3 slides, had a GVW of 14,400#. I replaced the "no name" tires with 4 Michelin XPS RIBS..axles were rated at 6,000#... Most I can recollect being weighed at was about 13,500# and I had a 2600# pin weight..so take 13,500# loaded weight and subtract the pin weight that MY TRUCK will be carrying, (ie, the "5th wheel"), 2600# and I had 10,900# setting on my 6,000# axles.
Figure if I loaded to 14,400# and pin weight was 2900#, then I'd be carrying 2900# in the bed of my truck and the 6,000# axles, supported by "E" rated tires of 3042 each, would be supporting 11,500#.
Those Michelin Tires that I put on that 04' Coachmen stayed on that 5er for close to seven years, a very good friend of mine purchased the Coachmen when I purchased my HR and has towed it all over the country with zero issues and in the last year put brand new RIBS back on.
Remember that the pin weight of the 5er is carried by the tow vehicle, so in reality, the RIBS would work in the OP'S case..There are other god ones out there, but I can speak from experience about the RIBS and that weight 5er with 6,000# axles.
