Below is a Bridgestone tire reference. Even though it carries a 2006 date it was published after the 2007 tire rules were made public but before they were enacted. If you don’t take the time to read the entire document or just take some statements on the first couple of pages out of context you will miss the statement on page 15 quoted below.
Never select a tire with a smaller size, or with less load carrying capacity, than the tire specified on the vehicle tire placard.

PAGE 15!!! You have GOT to be kidding..
So if one replaces a no name Chinese tire, like I did back in 05' with the RIBS, the tire police (just made that up), will hunt me down like a fugitive and have me arrested?
The RIBS had a lesser weight rating than the Chun King POW(yeah, made up the name..anyone like it?) tires had and they lasted for close to 7 years on a 5er with a 14,400# GVW and 6,000# axles and towed ALL OVER the US of A...I won't tell his name, don't want him arrested for not "obeying" a placard on the his 5er.
I DO NOT advocate using a Lesser tire, ie E rated tires where G's are OEM, but an E replacing an E and the weight on the OP's 5er has a GVW 300# less than the Coachmens GVW of 14,400#...
Just because
you did it doesn't make it right. Your current option also works well for you.
