Why does the sidewall look like it rubbed along a curb or something like that?
On edit: You said it was not curbed, but why is the blacken area only at the side bulge area. Near the rim and on the shoulder the tire is still dirty. What side of the trailer will this tire on. Drivers and passengers? Chris
Front tire drivers side . No curbing , it’s pretty tough on that side to begin with, much easier on the curb side. That discoloration is from running with no air in it , I’m sure the rubber breaking down. It’s partially wet, it was actually rolled thru the snow there in Kingman at Big O . - Me_AgainExplorer III

It was bound to happen, and it did. Any experts want to weigh in? Luckily, no damage to fifth wheel or rim. 2 year old Sailun S637 , inflated to 100 psi.

Just as a point of interest, for me and others on the forum who run Sailun tires at pressures below the maximum, could you ask him to provide details about load and inflation recommendations, specifically for trailers. I would love to hear what he has to say about that. I notice that he didn't seem to imply that 100 psi was low pressure.
...I won't go into load and inflation recommendations in this response but, should you want further information about the facts on load and inflation, I would love to provide details that you could post for all users.

Thank you very much.
Here is the inflation chart he sent me , not the best from me, but it was on a excel spread sheet, and I couldn't get it to load right, it jumbled it on posting, gave up, and took a picture ,and posted it . not good ,pretty much unreadable, will try again unless someone has one to post .
On edit, I deleted the inflation chart is was unreadable. So far don't know how to post an excel spread sheet - philhExplorer IItwo years on most travel trailer is still infant mortality given most trailers mileage. Also, after two years, what warranty? Seen in just the last two weeks three separate accounts of tire failure, and no they were not the same trailer.
- buc1980ExplorerI don't agree with people who say Sailun are junk.I run Sailun from 2014 with no problems. In fact the Sailun replace my 3 Goodyear G614 which blow up and they was 2 years old, what you say now ?

Thank you very much. - Cummins12V98Explorer III2014 was the tire the rear one? That location is where most road hazards happen.

I wrote NTSB, I meant NHTSA
Here is the link
Your link goes to NHTSA complaints website.
Now click on tires.
There are no tire complaints under Sailun brand however Sailun makes around 20 different types of MDT and HDT truck tires and 16"/17.5"/19.5"/22.5" S637 regional service tires. - cummins2014Explorer

I've several reports of Sailun tire failures.
PLEASE report this to NTSB. They take tire failures very serious.
