Sandpaper 5th wheel

I have a question about my roof top a.c. l have my camper parked and set up at a site with about 35 others. And when it really hot and everyoneIs running their AC some of the campers Air conditioners trips out that's because the wiring is old in the park what I was wondering they habit extra hours campsite beside me that no one is using is there any way I can hook up my rooftop air conditioner straight to that of the site Using a heavy duty extension cord

  • I have owned this 50A AutoFormer since 2011, works well. I have done this type of install on two DRV's with same AF.

    If it ever goes bad I simply would unplug and connect the cord caps.

    Would something like this work? You will want something rated for about 30 amps.
  • No I,m not.but anywhere else we been Before we part it never had a problem S just that the amperage or Bowditch at that park is it big enough to Curie a lot of campers and now that it's part I'm just naden to know what I need to do so I can run my Air conditioner during the hottest days of summer
  • Look at getting a voltage booster.

    Watts = Amp * Voltage

    As the voltage drops the amps go up. Eventually, you are pulling too many amps.

    The air/con will still see the low voltage even if you wire it into a nearby pedestal.

    PS: I assume you've already shut down the other electrical draws (ie: your not trying to pop microwave popcorn with the air/con running)
