Sanitizing Warter system

I tried did a different method of getting bleach into the fresh water tank to sanitizing the water system after setting over the winter. I took the filter element out of the filter and pored Out a little water and filled up the bowl with bleach and put back on and turned on the water. When I thought the tank was about 2/3 full I did it again. Both times the water flowing through the filter I could not smell bleach at the filter and I could after I fill the tank and ran water through the all of the facets. I put about 1/4 tank of water before I started. Much easer than gettin into the storage to get to the pump clear hose to draw bleach water out of a container
