Sask G drivers lic. Heavy trailer/farm plated trucks

Our new trailer is over 10,000 pounds and I pull with "farm F " plated truck. Which means I am NOT required to have the "G" (heavy trailer) endorsement ...in Saskatchewan.

Some say the G is good to have if out of the province.... "just in case". Is this true or should the fact that the truck qualifies me in Saskatchewan be good where ever?
  • On the F plate in Saskatchewan you are allowed to pull trailers over "10,000 pounds.
So it's more than just fuel.
  • Farm plates are about fuel tax. If you are not on farm business, buy road taxed fuel. Weight is limited by your choice of licensing and tow vehicle.
