SAT Dish transport

We finally made the jump and traded in our TT for a 2014 Solitude 369RL. This is our first 5th wheel and we are slowly figuring out where we want to put everything. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for storing an 18in round directv dish. We used to toss it on the bed of the TT so it wouldn't get all dented up going down the road, but now Im thinking placing it in a bin in the under storage or maybe attaching to the ladder. Any suggestions/pics? Thanks.
  • We have outside (locked) storage on the right rear of our unit that is just big enough for dish and related items.
  • On my prior TT. I carried dish with a 2" PVC pipe that was clamped to spare tire carrier. Not a great picture, But I think you get the idea.
You could easily clamp the PVC pipe to your ladder

I've seen a lot of them on the ladder.

Loctite the bolts and nuts! Chris
  • I put spare battery wingnuts of the four bolts that hold the dish to the mount, and just take my slimeline dish apart. I place the mount in the basement first and the dish is one of the last things that goes in on the top of storage crates etc.
