IMO, pricing on Toy Haulers is very seasonal.
Especially in the biggest markets areas.
Take Phoenix for example, probably 1 of, if not the biggest market for TH.
The season there is late fall to late spring, desert/dune season.
At the end of August in Phx, TH sales are way down, nobody is going to the dunes at 117* in the sun. The people that really need to sell, seem to dump them for unbelievably low prices at this time of year.
Saw lots of nice slightly used almost new TH priced extremely low, in the middle of a hot Phx summer. Prices seemed to get better right to the beginning of the fall, then they start to rise again as sales pickup right before dune season starts. You can see many TH stay on CL for weeks, months, that time of year. Although the good ones will go fast once they are priced extremely low.
I got my WW 07 FSW 3200+4 for $17,000 about 2 years ago on Craigs list Phx. NADA had it listed for $33,000. The bill of sales was with all the paper work, in original blue folder in the TH over the sink. The price paid new was $56,000 new in 08.
It had 24 hours on the gen hour meter. The plastic covers were still on the mattresses. China bomb tires looked like new. The TH was hardly used at all... Other than a small cosmetic scratch or 2 on the outside of the fiberglass, and a little cut in kitchen floor vinyl, the TH was in like new condition. Thought I did good on the buy.
So imo, this is what I've found...
Buy at the right time of year in big seasonal markets for the win...
Or buy in the middle of TH/rv season for the most expensive price.
