Schwintec Slide issue Jayco 2013 Jayco 351MKTS

Had a issue with the Kitchen slide while we were on the road South. Got it in to a Repair shop and they found that it was a bad motor. The Motors that are in the slide now are a 300:1 gear ratio. I opted to purchase the 500:1 motors as replacement. The service Tech and I came to the conclusion that the lower geared motors would be better for the heavy slide. ( We have the optional double fridge) I called Lippert and was told that the 500:1 motors could be used and were compatible with the control box. Ordered them and after they are installed I will give an update ( hopefully this week). We have been living with the slide in which is doable but a bit cramped.

How was the 300:1 motor identified? I have a Schwintek on my bedroom slide and I like the idea you had with going with the 500:1 motor.

It was identified by a sticker on the motor.
  • Big difference in TQ specs between a bedroom slide motor and a much longer/deeper slide out room motor..
