Sewer Hose Storage

Plastic storage bin in basement.

I have about a 10 gal plastic tote box. Holds the fittings and 20ft of hose and goes in the storage compartment. I also have a hose storage for hose only built into the coach and never remember to take the hose out.

Can't beat a cheap plastic container. Mine holds sewer hose, a short water hose dedicated to flushing black tank, and plastic wheel chocks.

X2, plus the fittings and rinse hose fit as well. I keep the long hose in the bumper, but haven't used it in a long time.

I do have a built in hose storage built in RV. It holds 15 ft, without connectors. I keep extra hose in a plastic container in very front bin. I don't keep black tank supplies in same bin as clean supplies. The other bin in front cabinet, has a couple of other hoses, and odds and ends hose fittings. On my last trailer I bought a long tube made for holding a hose with ends left on. It was long, and had to be bolted to underbelly of RV. It worked ok, but very hard to get too. It was too long to mount it across RV so had to mount it long ways. I do use the Rhino hoses, and not too hard to take fittings off and on.

An 8' fence post cover is $25.00 at Lowes. If your 5er has a rear bumper you can use large zip ties( $5.00 to $10.00) to attach post cover to it. I you want to keep cost down don't buy end caps or rain gutter. Just drill holes thru at the ends of post cover and drop 6" bolts thru to keep hose and connectors in.

C.B. is the slide out tray a rain gutter with wood dividers? I know what I'm doing this weekend.

Yes it is. When you go to get the rain gutter check to see if you can get PVC gutter end caps. I saw a posting using PVC end caps.

+1 for the 5" vinyl fencepost. Actually I have two so that is a +2 ;)

Are there that many trailers made without a square tube rear bumper? Every trailer I've owned has had one I use to store the hose.
