short bed - sliding hitch vs sidewinder?

Not sure if this will help you, but with my last SB truck, I had a manual slider and used it just a couple of times in the course of 11 years. If I was to get another slider, I'd go w/ an auto one such as the Sidewinder or Pullright(?). Have never gotten myself into a situation where I really needed the slider. May have to make a few more "pull aheads", but thing is to NOT get so tight on a turn that your in a heck of a predicament. I'm over 50' in length.
