I have a standard front end 5er and a 6'5" box, no slider. I have to back into a really sharp place to park my 5er and never come close to a cab strike. You'd be fine with a standard hitch. The sidewinder in my opinion turns your truck back into a bumper pull by moving the pivot point behid the rear axle.
