Cyclone trailers have a rounded front cap and extended pin-box designed to work with short-beds. That said, you still will contact the cab window if you try to make a full 90 degree turn, such as when back into a campsite. Cost of a manual slider vs a fixed hitch is probably less than a window replacement. But if you forget to slide-it, you still might be buying a window anyways, and after a few windows you'll be out more than an auto-slider hitch. Also, if you have the powered rear window, it's $$$ if it breaks. You cannot just buy one glass pane. They replace the full window assembly.
