I'm a 30A, but I like to have the option to identify as a 15A or a 50A if needed, so I have the tools for any of it. Always carry an extra 30A cord.
I can run full power on 15A service at my house with no problem. Might not work so well at a campground though. After reading this thread, though, I may start using only the 50A plugs when available.
More often than having to use the extra items myself, I've loaned them out to other campers who might find themselves in need of a cord or adapter. Some places have buddy sites where 2 campers share the same overall site and utilities. In those cases, it can be quite a stretch for one of the campers, usually the one that has to have the pedestal on the curb-side of their unit. If you can loan a fellow camper something to help them out and maybe save them a trip to town, it should always give you a feel-good feeling.
