In all likelihood, water in the traps freezing solid will not hurt a thing. There is room for the water to expand as it freezes. Just like milk in a bottle left on the porch by the milk man (remember those days) which froze solid did not break the bottle- the milk just rose up out of the spout as it froze and expanded, the water in the P Traps will do the same.
Another example is water in an ice tray or even the tray in the ice maker. The water freezes solid, of course, but doesn't expand and break the tray. It does expand as it freezes, but expands up where there is space for expansion.
You do not have to worry about those traps and freezing water regardless of how extreme the temperatures may get.
I agree. In Tx, during 25 winters I have never added antifreeze to the P-traps and never had a problem. In fact it has been many years since I have even bought or used the pink stuff. Just blow out the lines and let the RV sit.
