My furnace had black bb's in the heat exchanger that used to be those pesky chinese lady bugs. My air compressor would not blow them out. Actually I get more air out of the exhaust port on my vacuum cleaner but that wasn't enough to blow out the bb's either. After I shook out the bb's the furnace worked fine.
