Skylight above shower

I posted this before covered the neo-angle shower with poster board removing the garnish screws and replaced with washers. Tryed velcro but wouldn't last long, a great option if headroom is needed. Trace on paper first then to poster board cutout, tape edges.

From what I read is the heat from the light he does not like.

Cut some foam.

I would use blue foam above the shower as it is a closed cell foam.

Buy a cheap automotive front windshield sunblocker...th closed cell type with "bubble wrap" inside of silver mylar. You can get a square of it at Home Depot too.

Cut to size, use duct tape on the dges and add velcro to the lip of the skylight and back of the mylar. Stick it up when needed. We have them for our roof vents, shower skylight and front door window.

Painted my last trailer bathroom skylight with krylon white plastic paint. It was clear to start. New trailer came already opaque.

I used a car window (spring loaded) roll down window screen and modified it to fit into the skylight. The type with the little screening holes that you fit onto the side windows on your car. I only had to modify the connections since the screen fit nicely in the skylight. You can open or close it to fit your needs!

We bought a sheet of lexan and some Limo Blackout window tint. Cut the lexan large enough to cover the opening and added two lengths of aluminum channel for it to slide in. Slide in when we want it dark, slide it back when we want it light!

Why not just close the bathroom door? :h Nothing going on in there that I need to see. :E

I strung some heavy fish line using the screws that hold the molding in place and slip in a piece of double-foiled bubble wrap in there.

Paint the skylight with Krylon plastic paint.

I covered with a thin sheet of aluminum to block the light.
Does not block heat.
