- AllworthExplorer IIIt is possible to increase the tension on an existing slide topper.
That said, there is a spring inside the roller tube that can rip a finger off in a flash. If you are not really familiar with how to insert the safety pin back into the roller, this adjustment should be left to a qualified RV tech.
Be careful out there. - ib_leblancExploreri guess they are slide toppers... awning covers the top when the slide goes out.. when they are dry ( not holding any water) one is tight and does not flap, the other is rather loose and any wind causes lots of flapping
- newman_fulltimeExplorer IIYou need to put the slide in and back out.it should tighten up unless the spring is broke.is it full of water?
- 4huskersExplorerYou mean slide toppers?
