Slide Out Question

Question

We have looked at a 5th wheel to purchase. They had a leak that had been repaired at the time and they also replaced the flooring. Now the slide out sticks. Should this be a major concern and what other problems should we be looking for?

Slide outs should function without sticking.  Someone didn't do things right. Why buy trouble?

When they replaced the flooring, I will bet the new wood deck is slightly higher than the old wood deck and that is causing the slide to bind. Doug

Why does the slide stick? Personally I think I'd look elsewhere unless I was convinced the slide sticking wasn't an issue.

A slide should extend or retract smoothly with minimal noise.  If they did some floor repairs due to a leak, it would seem that the floor was nor repaired correctly.  I would pass on this trailer.Ken
