slide out

Question

I have a 05 HR Pres.36ft RLT, the problem is the bed room slide out is making a banging noise when slid in our out, about every foot or so makes noise like a broken gear. Does any one know where the motor is and how does this slide work. Thank you

Mine is under the bed in a box.

Mine is under the bed and it was making a noise.  Turned out the slide was rubbing on the flimsy board used to hide the slide mechanism.

My kitchen slide was doing that, turned out the gear cluster was slipping and needed a shim.

On mine you can flip the mattress up against the front wall and get the cordless drill out and remove the paneling that is under the mattress and see and work on the whole mess that way.

And mine was a mess.
