slide out

I have a 2005 wildcat 5th wheel the switch on the inside dose not open or close the slide outs but the switch in the front compartment next to the motor dose work could just the switch gone bad or should I check something else out before i buy a new switch.

  • It could be the power terminal of the switch or you lost power to the switch. Not knowing whether power is there or not is just a guessing game. This is why I always advise self-help fixers to learn how to use a multimeter to determine where power has been lost.

    Could be as simple as a power wire coming loose from the switch terminal (something that you can see with your eyes). Other than that we can only guess and that's when you start spending $ for unneeded parts.
  • It could just be the switch but I would expect it to start failing one one direction first and not both directions at once.
    But you never know.
