yep, that is what I was trying to find. Unfortunately, it's an aftermarket solution to an aftermarket solution for a problem that didn't exist in the first place.

Do a Goggle search for "slide topper fabric replacement". Many good videos as well as written instructions. I would think you could follow the instructions up to the point of using new fabric, just replace your old and before you re-install, turn/tighten the tube 1 or 2 more turns to achieve more tension. This is a 2 person task.

Ours is old enough we don't have them either. I just grab the broom and sweep the slides off before we pull them in. I figure it's just one more thing that can break. :)

The service department recommended putting a beach ball under the slide toppers. Not having a slight topper is not an option for me. I will get the water situation corrected one way or the other. Not having leaves, twigs, dirt, bird droppings and whatever else falls on the roof and to the top of the slide out and maybe inside the camper itself is unacceptable. Slide toppers are the way to go.

You can't ignore it, as the water will stretch the fabric and then they won't roll up in the middle. On these newer units with the taller slides, slide toppers don't get the pitch they need for water runoff.

Best option is to not get slide toppers, but if you have to deal with what you have, the only real fix is something underneath to keep them from sagging.

That is why so many big beach balls and swim noodles are employed by many. JMHO Jb

I'm ready to try on bedroom cover as it flaps badly in the wind but can't find a good diagram of what or how to do safely. I do fear springs and the force they can have if turned loose incorrectly. Randu
