Slider seal

I have one slide that when extending it out, the seal will not fully unfold. Any ideas for fixing this?
Thanks
  • I check for this issue as soon as I extend the slides. My fix includes running my awning rod up the side behing the seal. Works for me. Good Luck.
  • Try putting a peice of foam tape across the slide. Soft and won't hurt the wiper.
  • I also have one seal that sometimes doesn't un-fold all the way. I've discovered that wile DW extends the slide, I can take my fingers and give this seal a "head start" as the slide extends, it will unfold all of the way. If my "CRS" kicks in and I forget, I take a broom handle and slide it up the seal to pull it out. JT
  • I like to wax the side of the slide, seems to keep the seal laying better, I also clean and treat the rubber....

    Not worry about it!

    Those are 'wipers' not seals.
They wipe the sides/top of moisture, dust, debris.....regardless if the flip or not they still wipe.

Some folks attached 'thread grip' along side of slide out so make the wipers flips.

ME.......I just dust seals and wipers with baby powder (in a sock) twice a year and not worry about it.

8 yrs. and seals/wipers are still flexible, functional.

The dealer that delivered my rig put that tread grip tape on the top of one of my slides. The seal is now destroyed. Stuff is worse than sand paper.
