Slides come out a couple of inches at the bottom when travel

You should get some of these slide out safety bars. Our TT has the 13' super slide with motorized rack and pinion mechanism. Mfr provided two of these bars and they are supposed to be used during travel to take the stress off the mechanism. Without these bars, the mechanism is the only thing securing the slide in the closed position.

These pictured are adjustable and you can get them at any of the online RV parts places. Ours were premeasured and the owners' manual said to install about halfway from floor to ceiling.
