Sliding closet Doors in fifth wheel
When we are staying for a few days we reverse our sliding closet doors and the we dont have to deal with the plastic latch. Sure makes it nice.

I never close them until I move. Not sure if your latch is the same as mine.. just some plastic 'studs' in the wall that insert into the edge of the door.
