Dumb question: Have you loaded any toys in it yet?
Assuming the answer is No and that a leaky bike isn't the source, you should be able to inspect the tank, the filler line, the vent(s), the filling station, and the fuel line from the tank to the generator to find the source of the fumes.
Is there a time when the smell is strongest? (After towing, afternoon, etc.)
This definitely isn't normal though. Hopefully you isolate the source and get them to fix it soon.
