I don,t get all the negative retorts when there have been nothing but positive reviews from people who Actually use it and love it.It looks like some just do not want to accept change as a good thing. Its like the new air ride on the 3500 Rams, what happens if im towing and an air bag goes etc.No biggie, its being used and proven just like the Andersen.
I have a RAM with rear air on order. It's designed to haul a big RV. I trust it will. It meets SAE J2807 standards.
Andersen does a crush test. I see nothing to convince it can rate the same as the B&W I will be using that connects directly in 4 places to the trucks frame.
Light and cheap not for me. All JMHO
Let's face it. You are just looking for justification for your factory hitch setup. That's OK. It is a good setup. But to say some other approach is inadaquete just because you don't believe it is not saleable. You would have some credibility if you would just show any evidence of any failures. You don't have any.
I think what he doesn't know or refuses to acknowledge is the fact its a pretty simple setup with the Andersen on the new Rams . Granted you need the picture frame adapter, that yes attaches to four points on the frame. Then the Andersen attaches to four points on the adapter, same as a conventional hitch on bed rails, which has been the standard for many years ,and a proven design. It all comes out for a clean bed .
