After helping my Daddy take his 20k slider hitch out of his truck I would lean Andersen rail version for sure after dealing with that 200 lb monstrosity (great hitch though)
Thanks,
Jeremiah
Do your Daddy (and yourself) a favor - get on down to HF, buy an electric cable hoist and lift that hitch with one finger.
(It's handy for other stuff also)
Yeah - even a child can do it..:C
Taught my 10yr old grandkid how - and he can do the entire operation from start to finish by himself (I watch, however).
BTW - the PR SG is more like 250 lbs..;)
.
Did you also teach your grandaughter how to build the extra support cribbing needed in your roof/ceiling to attach the electric hoist too. You can't just lag screw this hoist into a 2x4 rafter in your ceiling and expect it to pull a 200 pound piece of steel out of the back of your truck.
For one it is his GrandSON for two what makes you think he is attaching his hoist to a 2X4?
You are right.
By the way, Hoping to see that scientific study or any real world Anderson Hitch users showing hitch failure which was asked of you a couple days back.
