Actually the gooseneck hitch will bear the vertical weight of either the Anderson or B&W, as most styles of gooseneck are mounted directly under the bed corrugations and onto the truck frame. Most goosenecks also have a vertical load rating of between 6,000 and 7,500lbs, a lot more than the pin weight of most fifth wheels. This is just the gooseneck hitch, not the added load carrying capacity of the bed itself.
