perhaps your TV, 5'ver and hitch are not set up right? if your experiencing these types of "violent" situations. :E
I guess you have never towed on a bad road?I take steel anytime over aluminum.
isn't the Mobile Suites framing (floor, walls, rafters...) mostly aluminum except for the steel in the trailer frame? :hThink about the weight that is applied when the brakes are hit hard and winging over some of these overpasses the hitch IS pushing fore and aft and it will and does deflect the bed. I have dents to prove it in the 11 I just traded. Once I installed the strips the deflection stopped!
its obvious you know nothing about the Anderesen and how it works and or attaches to the goose neck ball, it is no different then how a "goose neck" trailer attaches to the ball. (the square and pyramid frames are added support) Its not attached to the box or to the floor of the box, rather its connected through the ball which in-turn is attached to the frame of the TV. I suggest you take the time to look at a goose neck ball hitch before passing any judgements.
Look at the pic of the Andersen the bed "IS SUPPORTING" the RV since the Kingpin is NOT centered over the gooseneck! There is fore and aft movement controlled by the frame and it's pressures against the bed. Remove the bed from the picture. Now what happens? The frame will drop towards the rear of the truck!
"it is no different then how a "goose neck" trailer attaches to the ball" If that is the case why is there a frame and not a direct connection from the kingpin and the ball? Oh yea they already make that it's called a "goose box".
