There is no doubt that setup like the new RAMs and others have with four pucks that lock into the factory mounts on the frame is the best of best. Everything less now a days is a compromise! We had a boat years ago named "The Compromise"! I wanted a bigger one and DW wanted a smaller one, so we compromised!

Hitches are no different both the B&W and Anderson that get pulled down the the bed floor via the a gooseneck ball are compromises. Go ask RAM, Ford, GM, Anderson, or B&W if they will warranty the bed if it is deformed or dented????
