I remove mine every trip, we haul other trailers and feed and I cannot have the bed cluttered up with pig iron.
I have a rubber bed mat which I am sure deflects some of the weight on the ribs. I do not have any denting.
For the guy saying to let us know in a couple of years how the hitch works, I have used it for 22 months now. No damage, works great. Long enough or do you wamt another report in 2017?
