soft floor, depression under bike wheel, oil guard?

Just finished the second half of my 3000 mile trip. All the way down there no problems, no issues noted. Left my toy hauler parked in Houston for 1 month. second day driving back, we noticed the rear bed at the right rear corner is sagging, the floor is soft under the bracket. Ended up ripping right out of the wall. While looking at it my son noticed the spot 2 feet away, where my bike's rear wheel was (front in wide choke) is depressed too. Could it be heat related, or heat/ pressure from bike strapped down? I can't explain the middle of the rear floor sagging. The bed bracket I know there is some new caulking on the roof it probably leaked and PO fixed it. Maybe it was bad I never noticed it.

He did oil guard the bottom of the camper, could the oil seeped into the wood and cause the sag? I'm tempted to try some penetrating epoxy I read about in a boat forum. I think it's epoxy and acetone mix, holes drilled every 4 inches and the epoxy will migrate through the wood. If i can get through this summer I can worry about it in winter time
  • sounds like it might be a leaking toilet. Yes, walls are on top of the floor, that's how they're built. To do it correctly will be quite hard I'm afraid.
  • Peeled up the vinyl. Black wet spot extends from the right corner all the way to the toilet wall. I think the plywood (chipboard in mine) extends under the side walls, don't see how to cut it out.

Mine has the smaller door offset on the back, and the toilet in the back left corner.
  • In my previous toy hauler, the floor was insulated with fiberglass. I don't know how effective it was as insulation but it was great at wicking up water and holding it. When I noticed a depression in the floor, I removed the vinyl and was able to remove by hand great gobs of wood fiber that used to be plywood. The pink stuff beneath was drenched. I removed about 6' x 3' that was moldy and rotten. Traded it after that repair.

(I've heard chocks called several things but not 'chokes' until now).

    What is "oil guard"?

In my neck of the woods "rust proofing".
  • According to my trusted RV tech, toyhauler garages seem to be vulnerable to leaks at the bottom of the rear door/ramp and around the door. He told me when looking at used toyhaulers to check the walls for soft spots near the door and to thoroughly check the floor for soft spots starting at the back door and at least three feet into the garage.

I suspect that you are looking at replacing part of your floor.
