Spare tire

No this is not another question about tires, I was just wandering as I was checking the air pressure in the tires before our trip today. How many people check the air in their spare tire. Just a friendly reminder.
Have a safe and happy Labor Day
  • I see the problem, loose/leaking valve extender! Buddy had that problem while visiting are RV site with his class C!!!
  • Me Again, thanks. The brand new comment reminded me of a fellow worker that told us he had a brand new 3/4"x6" adjustment screw that had been in his tool box for 25 yrs. In his defense it was sealed in plastic with grease.
  • I just replaced my 13-14 year old "brand new" TV LTX A&S spare with a 6 year old take off LTX M&S when I got new tires this time. The trailers XPS RIB spare is 10 years old and "brand new" also. It is next on the list to get replaced, with maybe a cheap FS Transforce HT. Chris
  • I haven't since we picked it up a couple years ago. Thanks for the reminder. I know better.
  • I checked my spare once. Maybe I better do it again sometime.
  • Check RV tires before each trip, don't worry about spare as we can easily plug our pancake compressor into genny, luckily we have never had a blowout while RVing.
  • I check the air in my tires about every 3 or 4 months unless they look soft.
  • I do all the time. Same in my cars , I check tires once a week and once a month on the spare. I see too many people on the side of the road with low or flat spares.
