Carlisle also states the 65 mph speed rating does not apply to actual use and limits actual speed to 60 mph.
There in lies the Carlisle "talking out of both sides of their mouth"! They also have been quoted as saying 87 MPH and "what ever the speed limit is"!
ST tires by design all carry the 65 MPH speed restriction to get their higher weight ratings.
So if speed goes up weight rating needs to come down.
Michelin has said that with their 17.5 XTA which has a 100KM/62MPH speed restriction. They have told RV trailers owners that they can good faster if they come down a measured amount from the 4805 pound capacity.
So how can one believe Carlisle's forked tongue?
